The Center For The Partially Sighted

Babies born with vision problems or with visual processing problems face many challenges to their development. They may not reach out to explore if they can't see the tantalizing object in front of them or learn how to crawl if they are insecure about moving into the unknown. Inability to make eye contact limits their social development. Thanks to SHARE, Inc., doctors at The Center for the Partially Sighted evaluate a child's sight, recommend training and prescribe devices to give that child a window-to-their-world. As the child grows, we continue providing the technology, training and tools they need to attain their education and recreational goals. Our Family Resource Project provides ongoing resource and referrals, education, advocacy, counseling and support for parents and children in our program. For children with multiple disabilities, we are an important partner in a team of therapists, teachers, and health care providers.
