SHARE, INC. Donates $800,000 To Local Charities
Share Happily And Reap Endlessly

Los Angeles, CA – March 16, 2009 — On March 11th, more than 65 SHARE ladies, representatives of the facilities SHARE supports and invited guests gathered at the Hillcrest Country Club for their Annual SHARE Funding Reception.  The Reception culminated a year of fundraising activities and hard work.  “This evening is one of our favorites.  It’s so rewarding to see the difference we are making in funding these wonderful facilities,” explained SHARE President Dolores Nemiro.

The money was distributed in individual grants to 12 facilities which are The Dreammaker’s Project, The Center For The Partially Sighted, Team Prime Time, ECF Kayne Eras Center, Salvin Special Education Center, Stuart House, Ahead With Horses, SHARE's Child Disability Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center,
I Have A Dream Foundation, Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, Friends of CASA and Infinite Dreams.

SHARE, INC. was founded in 1953 and has raised over $45 million to help “at risk” youth, the developmentally disabled and the abused and to support research, prevention and vocational training and independent living skills programs for children in need.

In response to the weakened economy, the ladies of SHARE have postponed the 56th Annual Boomtown Gala slated for May 2009.  The fundraising efforts will instead be an invitation for direct donations: “No Boots, No Hats, No Event, but we welcome your support”.  The next SHARE Boomtown Gala will be held in 2010 and the ladies will be back, kicking up their heels and dancing their hearts out.
